Effective operation of electrical power equipment requires fast and precise assessment of emergency conditions. In facilities where immediate operating decisions count, recorders with the highest metrological performance are essential. The answer to these needs is the RZ-50 PMU developed by SPIE Energotest - a device that combines a classic fault recorder with synchrophasor measurement (PMU). It provides exceptional analysis accuracy and temporal consistency of data, supporting the safety and efficiency of network operation.

TheRZ-50 PMU offers synchronous measurements with a precision of up to 1 microsecond, allowing signals from multiple locations to be compared in real time. This makes it possible, among other things, to detect island operation, identify oscillation sources or perform FON compliance tests. The 24/7 permanent recording guarantees access to data from every moment of system operation, while the wide dynamic range and noise immunity increase the quality of analyses.

The device stands out for its reliability and security: built-in cyber security mechanisms (SNMP encryption, VPN, firmware signing), low power consumption (<16 W), no moving parts and support for popular protocols (IEC 61850, Modbus).

Certification of quality is provided by the PMU certificate and approval for operation in PSE's high-voltage networks. The RZ-50 PMU sets a new standard for monitoring and documenting the operation of power systems - from transmission and distribution to renewable energy.

SPIE Energotest is a well-established supplier of disturbance recorders in Poland - more than 2,000 devices installed, with the RZ-40 recorders predominating. The latest device in the company's range is the RZ-50 PMU recorder, which meets the current requirements of PSE.
