The overall description of the functioning of an electrical system, can be reduced to two basic categories:

• "analog" waveforms of selected parameters that vary continuously over time. In this case, effective and instantaneous values can be taken into account;
• events, i.e. phenomena of logical nature, which may be described by indicating the point in time at which a change occurred (e.g. triggering of protection, switch connection status)

ET-History is the most sophisticated tool for retrieving and processing second category data, i.e. events.

The advantages of the "ET-History" software:

• Define connections to different databases on both database servers (SAP) and Access databases;
• Displaying the contents of the historical events database after applying various search and filter criteria;
• Viewing of event, device and location descriptions defined in the database;
• Extensive ability to configure the appearance of the application: priority and event list colors, list of selected columns, confirmation windows, etc;
• Save application settings and filters in user profiles;
• Application mode switching;
• Export of the displayed list of events to an MS Excel file;
• Printing the displayed list of historical events and the list of events defined in the database
